adding green - Trees on a Boat
2010

In Amsterdam it is not unusual to see trees floating on boats. For certain road constructions, they have to be removed. So they are temporarily stored on a boat next to it in a canal. This principle of reversibly turning the water into green holds a great promise for cities with lots of water. For instance in residential neighborhoods with water overkill, but missing green structures, such as the Oostelijke Eilanden. Where many habitants are complaining about the lack of green space. Even temporary floating parks can be added to the historic city centre.
