na-ma architecture is a multi-disciplinary architecture office and was founded in 2002 by Japanese urban designer Naoko Hikami and Dutch architect Maarten van Tuijl. Our commissions vary from urban design, housing, utility buildings, exhibitions, interiors to furniture. Each project is a new start, a new discovery of its specific potentials, resulting in individually taylorized and widely differing solutions. The right balance between flexibility and identity is key and has to be found for each individual project. From the start the materialization and context play an important role. na-ma architecture's goal is to realize surprising projects that do not show everything at first sight.
